The Hedging Analyst is at the core of the dynamic hedging program of the North Guarantee product which is an innovative investment and retirement solution providing income and capital protection.


The Hedging Analyst is responsible for the accuracy of the daily valuation liability as well as the hedging assets and relevant ALM reconciliation figures.

The scope includes the production of hedging trade recommendations, financial reporting (P&L attribution), new business implementation and ad hoc studies and developments.


How you'll make an impact

  • Provide high quality services for the dynamic hedging program as well as IFRS related reporting requirement of the North Guarantee product with accuracy and timing of the delivery of all outputs reporting.
  • Deliver of strategic priorities for AMP and more specifically for the North Guarantee and other retirement solutions including projects as defined. Drive integration of AHS business operations within AMP risk frameworks ensuring all tools and models are properly registered and documented within controls in line with existing regulator/legal model.

What you will bring to the team

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications: Quantitative finance, applied mathematics, Master of Engineering.
  • Other applicable post graduate studies (e.g. PHD or CFA charter, Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries).
  • At least 2/3 years of experience in a relevant financial role (ALM, derivatives portfolios management, hedging and other wealth management and life insurance positions)
  • Stochastic and deterministic valuation methodologies and tools used to perform projections
  • Good knowledge in structured products and derivatives. Good programming knowledge in VBA and other object oriented languages
