Position Summary

Part time, Maternity Leave backfill role

8hours/week, evening roster

SAPM – Ward 5East

$13,244 base + salary packaging + super

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and state-wide. About the ward

Ward 5 East is a dynamic 32-bed unit specialising in cardiac and thoracic surgery and cardiology medicine. You will support the clinical team whilst you manage various patient administrative tasks.

The unit is committed to patient-centred, evidence-based care and is dedicated to continuing professional development for all staff.

About the role

A regular day will see you:

Manage confidential patient information

Manage collation of clinical documents

Work directly with the nurse in charge to support patient access and flow

Engage with multiple electronic platforms to book appointments, ambulance transfers and utilise patient electronic medical records

Provide front desk reception assistance patients, families and visitors

About you

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

Highly organised skill set and have good time management skills

Good personal skills and be able to work as part of a team

Excellent communication and be able to liaise with patients, families and hospital staff

High level of attention to detail and accuracy
