Finance Controller
This very interesting position is located in Sydney, Australia and reports to Senior Financial Controller. The area of responsibility will be ANZ.


Fundamental Purpose of Position:

Play an instrumental role in ANZ country leadership team
Overseeing the finance/accounting, customer care and logistics function and ensure compliance, internal control
Contribute as a business partner to drive strategic business decision deployment in achieving growth and margin expansion based on the playbook/budget/forecast
Lead a highly engaged country finance team to deliver functional excellence, talent hiring/development, succession planning and grow organizational capability.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the accounting/finance processes to make sure financial bookings are maintained in line with company policies and statutory requirements. Manage the financial reporting processes with accuracy and adherence to timelines, including both management/internal and external/statutory reporting.

Lead monthly rolling forecast and annual budgeting process to ensure both short term and long-term view of the business was developed with commercial team to drive market share winning and profitable growth and improvement on the other financial CVDs.

In all aspect of business, play rigorous role to ensure effective internal control on important business process, including but not limited to : rev rec, inventory management, pricing, delegation of authority, SOX, etc.

Identity risks and opportunities in a highly complex and dynamical business environment to ensure all R&O are understood and addressed adequately with countermeasures
Responsible for the development and documentation of workflows in compliance with DHR polices and Sox control workbook
Provide high quality analysis that is value added to support business decision. Being a "co-pilot" to instill business insight and trust into the organization.
Oversee customer care processes to ensure customers' orders are promptly fulfilled and paid so as to achieve On Time Delivery and Working Capital Turns
Manage logistics and warehouse to ensure smooth logistics flow and optimize logistics expenses.
Lead and develop/build bench strength of the finance team. Using DBS to drive standard work, process improvement and automation to drive functional excellence.
Work closely with Danaher corporate tax team on reporting, tax compliance and other entity specific collaborations. Being important member of Japac finance team, contributing to cross-country process improvement, best practice sharing and talent discussion.

OUR EXPECTATIONS
Must be degree qualified from a reputable university, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
Controlling+business partnership experience in a similar leadership capacity is required.
High standard of integrity
Maturity and resilience in a high paced environment and matrix organization with good communication and interpersonal skills and capability to exercise positive influence with a "can-do" attitude
Well balanced between hands-on and high level, a strategic thinker without missing the focus on detail.
Adaptability and ability to learn new operating environment quickly.
Ability to identify issues, make decisions and strong commitment to deliver result
Capability to work under pressure, independently and confront the issues on the field


In addition the following is highly desirable:
Prior working experience with SAP, SOX
Experience in life & health industry
