The opportunity
Reporting to the Director Compliance & Regulation and working collaboratively with your peers, you'll form part of the second line of defence, managing and undertaking field work supporting:
- leading risk and control assessment activity;
- incident and issue management processes including undertaking root cause analysis;
- and driving a risk aware culture.
- This is a parental leave contract, concluding October 2024, based in Melbourne offices. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home)_
How will I help?
You will add value by:
- Lead and manage the operational implementation of the Bupa Compliance Policy within Bupa's HI business
- Deliver a robust compliance framework that meets the needs of the business as well as ensuring the business meets all the Compliance obligations. This includes the identification of compliance obligations, understanding associated risks and identification of business controls to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Contribute strategically as a key team member of the Compliance leadership team, and in the HI leadership teams in which you participate in.
- People leadership of direct team to achieve high performance and to behave in accordance with the Bupa Code and Bupa's values

In addition, you'll also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Risk & Compliance Management
- Deep compliance and regulatory experience of Australia and New Zealand health insurance industry Proficient in developing compliance frameworks
- Leadership qualities to develop, coach and mentor a small team.
