Job Summary:

The company

TEKsystems is partnering with a well-known Federal Government Department on a Technical Lead 6-month daily rate contract, working on a multi-year project with 2x 6-month extensions available.

The role

The Technical Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end technical oversight of the technology solutions working closely with the Project Manager and Vendor while ensuring the Department standards are being upheld.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Supporting the Application Remediation Project Manager, providing technical design and technical delivery coordination, testing, and troubleshooting of work packages through preproduction to production environments for the lifecycle of the Application Remediation Project.
Provide strong technical leadership in the development and review of technical designs and delivery of endtoend solutions.
Work with the external vendors, service providers, IT Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Network, and delivery teams, to ensure IT solutions are designed, secured, delivered, and supported appropriately, meeting the solution requirements, and ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Proactively identify Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAID), for each work package to the Project Manager.
Undertake and participate in the preparation, development and delivery of comprehensive, unambiguous, and detailed technical documentation and work package product deliverables.
Promote and manage relationships and key strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders, community groups, business sponsors and service providers.

About you

Experience as an ICT Technical Lead on Projects.
A background in either Java, PHP, Perl, Bash or Python.
Security, Network/Firewall, Infrastructure, Cloud, Application and Server Migration, Desktop and Architecture experience with system design, implementation, and integration experience.
Experience working with Linux.
Experience working across multiple work packages at once, managing the expectations of multiple PMs, dealing with competing priorities.
Previous experience working across divergent stakeholder groups including Information Communication Technology (ICT) operations and technical teams.
High level written and oral communication skills and excellent organisational skills.
Exceptional problemsolving capabilities with a focus on simplification.
Experience working on large scale Government transformation programs with multiple vendors.
