About Your New Role as a Procurement Officer
Our clients seek to uplift how they establish and manage these 'site services' contract arrangements.

  • Ensure that site services contracts are sourced and managed to meet the requirements of the company.
  • Engage stakeholders and develop procurement plans to establish appropriate contract arrangements such as preferred supplier and panel arrangements.
  • Develop and conduct the tender process including preparing tender documentation, evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Manage these arrangements including performance management, extensions, rate reviews and closeout.
  • Offer continuous education to company personnel regarding the optimal engagement of these arrangements, including the use of quotations and inhouse systems

What you will need to succeed

  • Degree in business or technical area or equivalent experience
  • Previous procurement/contract management experience within the utilities or heavy industry sector (preferably with servicelevel arrangements).
  • Procurement Officer experience
  • Exposure to the procurement and contracts tools and techniques.
  • Commercial experience, preferably in government of utilities.
  • Experience in the preparation of tender and contract documents, tender evaluation, negotiations and supplier management.
  • Ability to conceive, articulate, advise and deliver continuous improvements in service provider performance.
  • Contract negotiation skills and written and oral communication ability.
