Assistant in Nursing - Theatres

About the job:

Packing away of instrumentation from the sterilising department dropped off at the central stock area.
Packing away of various consumable items when depleted.
Organising and attending operation set ups for emergency and elective cases throughout the day.
Sourcing equipment for various operating rooms on a PRN basis whilst lists are running.
Providing "outside runner support" for infective cases in the operating room.

Where you'll be working:

The Operating Suite at JHH is a 16 room unit which functions over two sites within the same building. We are a dynamic and progressive team servicing the biggest and busiest trauma centre in the state.
You will be working with staff that practice and model the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.

About you:

You are a motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate with a desire to integrate within an acute care environment.
You will also be a problem solver with excellent communication skills to proactively engage with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care and surgical outcomes for our patients.
