We are a well-established specialist orthopaedic practice with a practice situated in Westmead, Blacktown and Rouse Hill seeking an experienced medical secretary / personal assistant to join our team.

Job description

We are looking for a warm and caring person to manage our front desk reception answering phones, managing appointment bookings, greeting patients, billing and general reception duties.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Meeting and greeting patients
• Attending to phone calls
• Scheduling patient consultations
• Administration of the front desk and patient clinics
• Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently utilising electronic medical records
• Patient invoicing and receipting
• Established information technology skills
• Obtaining insurance approvals for surgery
• Book operating lists
• Arrange quotes for surgical procedures

You will be highly organised with an eye for detail and able tackle any task with strong follow through. You will be self-motivated and able to work within a team as well as autonomously.
