JOB LEVEL:***- SFIA 6The Engineering Manager will demonstrate an extensive understanding of engineering methodologies, systems and procedures, with the ability to translate this into strategy. The Engineering Manager is accountable for leading work teams, planning and managing resources and exercising technical delegations on behalf of technical authorities. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, resourcing and implementing a quality management system and coordinating Test and Evaluation activities to support project delivery.


This role will champion the project's engineering management approach, along with quality management processes that consider the appropriate legal and compliance frameworks within ASD.

This role is a key part of the JP2289 leadership team, working to the Project Director, to manage activities related to the capability delivery systems lifecycle.


Specific Duty Statement:

  • Accountable for providing leadership and direction to ensure a highlevel of integration and consistency across ASD engineering, project functions and other Defence projects.
  • Work collaboratively, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and influence the work of teams to ensure successful delivery of project, system or platform outputs.
