Cath Lab Support Worker

16 hours per fortnight

An exciting Permanent Part-Time opportunity as a Support Worker for the Cath Lab department at Joondalup Health Campus.

About the Role


As the Cath Lab Support Worker, you work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide support to patients undergoing cardiac & vascular angiography procedures.

Individuals need to be flexible and able to work autonomously. Weekends, and on call are essential aspects of this role with future plans to expand services into the evenings.

This will involve, but is not limited to;

  • Transporting elective and emergency patients to the lab for procedures
  • Patient positioning and manual handling
  • Assisting with setups, equipment, consumables and restocking
  • Cleaning & removal of rubbish, sterile instruments and soiled linen; and
  • Support to the wider Perioperative department if & when required.

About You


To succeed in this role, you will be passionate about achieving excellent clinical care and outcomes for the patient, hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Your positive, "can-do" attitude and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment is essential to this role.

  • Recent relevant experience and understanding of issues associated with acute care and the rapidly deteriorating patient
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Basic understanding of Infection Prevention & Control principles
