About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an Investigator in the Conservation and Wildlife Branch, National Parks and Wildlife Service.

An Investigator will deliver a professional, high-level investigative service; produce prosecution briefs capable of withstanding judicial scrutiny and provide operational advice, training and mentoring to compliance field officers.

They also support Department for Environment and Water's (DEW) broader Compliance Strategy by assisting in the planning and execution of targeted compliance operations across the state.

Contract:

Contract up to 25 September 2025.


Special Conditions:


  • A current National Police Clearance is essential.
  • A current class "C" driver's licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential.
  • A current First Aid Certificate is essential.
  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • Intrastate and remote area travel is required which may include travel in light aircraft.
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone and be selfreliant.
  • Ability to effectively and safely manage conflict situations. May be required to undertake interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.

Remuneration:

ASO6 $97,022 min - $102,626 max p.a.
