Why our Role Matters:


The Data and Strategic Insights Manager plays a key role in the monitoring of program requirements of Access, Equity and Inclusion and, in particular, AEI's deliverables for the Gateway Equity Target (GET), to ensure accurate and accessible data to support impact evaluation and data-informed insights and decision making.

The role oversees the design and maintenance of reporting systems, ensures the quality and accuracy of data, manages and analyses complex data sets, develops data-driven insights, and presents findings to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.


Who you are:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience writing clear and compelling reports and communicating insights from complex data relevant to a diverse range of stakeholder requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing and reporting on complex quantitative data for program monitoring and evaluation including student data in a higher education context.
  • Demonstrated experience in dynamic data visualisation tools such PowerBI and a welldeveloped understanding of best practices in data visualisation and communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in government reporting in the higher education context (such as HEPPP reporting) and a welldeveloped understanding of the government data definitions used for reporting on students in higher education.
  • Solid understanding of principles of data, quality assurance, and data governance.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff and the ability to work effectively and collegially both within a team and with mínimal supervision.
