- Produce accurate, engaging and timely news stories and content
- Deliver live reports directly from the scene for both news broadcasts and programs.
- Travel around Melbourne and Victoria, which may involve some overnight trips to regional locations
- Proactively pursue interviews with various individuals, often in challenging circumstances
- Represent 3AW, while covering news stories in the community
- Proven experience in a radio, television or newspaper environment
- Strong news justment and investigative skills
- Ability to recognize potential stories and diligently follow leads to their resolution
- Australian Drivers License
- Available to work weekends and after hours as required
- Demonstrated experience covering police/emergency rounds
- Experience working in a live broadcast environment
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism

Job Description
We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Police Reporter to become a permanent member of our team based in Docklands. As an integral part of our team, your primary responsibilities will involve covering breaking police and emergency news stories.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to travel for assignments throughout Melbourne and Victoria.
This role usually operates from Monday to Friday, with shifts typically commencing between 4am and 5.30am. However, it is imperative to note that being on-call is a job requirement. You must be available to work on weekends and during non-standard hours as needed to cover major stories.
