About the Role
An excellent opportunity is available for someone to join the Financial Support team as Accounts Officer.


In this role you will be responsible for processing and administering accounts receivable and accounts payable while providing resourcing and support to the Finance Team and assisting management of Council's financial accounting functions and customer liaison.

Your administrative duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing
  • raise accounts, maintain debtor records, and process accounts for payment by ensuring all orders have been raised, account allocations have been checked and amounts confirmed.
  • Debt collection support the organisation in the management of and follow up of outstanding payments, and arrangements made with debtors to pay accounts by instalments.

About You
For this role we are seeking applicants who have:

  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and liaising with a broad range of customers is critical.
  • Experience in general bookkeeping/accounting functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with computerised accounting software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus to deal with a broad range of customers and employees.
  • Ability to work professionally and confidentially with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Administrative skills and attention to detail with the capacity to follow tasks through to completion.
