Our Opportunity

We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our rapidly growing program of works within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business.

You will join an experienced team of like-minded professionals who put Safety, Quality and Compliance at the forefront of everything they do.

In this role you'll be responsible for- Performing a range of construction and maintenance/ refurbishment tasks on and around Waste Water Treatment Plants and related infrastructure- Assembling and installing a variety of metal or non-metal pipe and fittings.

- The identification of defective or worn mechanical components or equipment- Fault finding and repair optimisation- Utilising precision measuring instruments to check parts for accuracy and fit- Operating various manual and powered hand tools- Working in a safe, professional, and timely manner, following all standards and procedures- Performing all work to a high-quality standard

How you'll connect to the role- Experience as a qualified Mechanical/Pipe Fitter with sound Mechanical knowledge- Previous experience on construction projects in water infrastructure, including Waste Water Treatment Plants (highly desirable)- Construction Induction White Card- Current Working at Heights ticket and Confined Space is desirable- Valid Drivers Licence- Strong understanding of safety and PPE requirements in an industrial environment- Have an ability to work effectively in a team environment to ensure deadlines are met in a timely and safe manner Alignment with our values of Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude & Leadership
