This position is part of the APAC Applications & Training team and will be located in Sydney, Australia, Hybrid. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Integrate Cepheid instruments (including installation), assays and connectivity solutions into customer laboratories and provide support to the customer from installation, and implementation through verification and/or evaluation to customer go-live (patient reporting).
• Provide demonstration of Cepheid instrumentation, software and reagents to current and potential customers and proactively provide enhancements for the development and optimization of Cepheid assays, software and hardware.
• Jointly develop account strategies with Sales Representatives aimed at increasing Cepheid business and retaining current business.
• Conduct education/technical seminars and presentations at customer sites, trade shows and workshops to drive thought leader adoption of Cepheid technology.
• Follow the standard of work for documentation and customer complaint handling to ensure total customer satisfaction and ensure install and customer management database is updated with full activity traceability.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist and proficient in molecular/IVD and microbiology techniques.
• Demonstrated excellent project management skills and customer relations/service skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and works well both independently and teamorientated.
• Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes/Outlook)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Hands-on experience with Lab Automation Systems and with LIS/Connectivity
• Experience with CRM, SAP, SFDC or similar tools
