Description

Increasingly complex patients means that today's nurses need to develop the necessary confidence, skills and knowledge to identify and manage acute and deteriorating patients.

In the Transition to Specialty Practice program, you will enhance your ability to deliver excellence in patient care in your nominated clinical setting; Cardiac, Intensive Care, Cath Lab or Emergency.

6-month program, delivered using a blended learning method; combination of self-directed online learning and classroom-based learning.

Commences July 2024, supported by a dedicated Clinical Education team.


Produce academic work consistent with a postgraduate level, with a defined funded pathway towards a Post Graduate Certificate in your chosen specialty.

This program is facilitated at all acute Epworth sites:


  • Epworth Richmond offers positions in Emergency, Cardiac, Cath lab and Intensive Care.

Epworth Eastern (Box Hill) offers the program in Intensive Care and Cath lab.

Eworth Geelong offers the program in Emergency and Intensive Care.

Epworth Freemasons offers the program in its Intensive Care Unit.


This is a part time, ongoing role in your chosen critical care area, providing a pathway toward supported post graduate studies'.

Qualifications:


You will have:


  • Current APHRA nursing registration (Registered Nurse)
  • Be a permanent resident or an Australian citizen
  • Recent clinical experience in acute care, greater than 1 year
