The City Performance directorate underpins the delivery of service excellence by providing expertise in financial services, procurement, governance, customer experience, property services and business technology.


About the role


The Revenue Officer will provide exceptional customer service to the organisation and community also assist in the ongoing development, maintenance and administration of Council's revenue strategies, policies, procedures and systems to ensure organisational, management and statutory requirements are met.


About you

  • Actively participate in the delivery of all rates and revenue activities
  • Maintain accounts receivable to ensure all accounts are raised and recovered in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Actively pursue outstanding debts and initiate debt recovery in accordance with Council's policies and by liaising with Councils mercantile agent.
  • Develop effective communication channels that foster collaboration with and assist the team and key stakeholders to achieve business unit goals, work requests, demands and Council priorities.
  • Play an active role in continuously improving Rates & Revenue processes in a team based environment.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Minimum Higher School Certificate or equivalent and/or relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, including customer service skills

Salary range:
From $69,496.91 to $77,836.69 per annum plus 11% superannuation
