About the role:

The Product Specification - BDM is a full-time position, based In Brisbane.

Reporting to the Specification Manager this role is responsible for winning specification at an architect and consultant level, working as part of a regional based sales team to grow specifications of Construction systems across the portfolio of segments.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Deliver a customer experience that leads to repeat specification and usage across the product portfolio.
  • Deliver the Sales Pipeline.
  • Grow existing client's usage of Cemintel products through specification and project targeting.
  • Identify new client opportunities through specification and project targeting.
  • Deliver a tailored product and service offering to meet customer needs.
  • Grow market insights by interpreting and using market data reports.
  • Identify and prioritise market and customer growth opportunities.
  • Provide product education through CPD, product/s presentations or seminar series to educate architects and specifiers on performance of CS products, including comparison to competing products and systems.
  • Develop presentations and present to industry participants.
  • Forecast by customer product for specific project requirements and sales team follow up, and budgeting purposes.
  • Ensure the effective handover of specified projects to the Commercial sales team.

About You:


  • Demonstrate a track record of identifying new construction projects, and a proven ability to influence the specifier to use CS systems and ensure those specifications stick.
  • Technical qualifications are desirable.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with technical solutions and develop rapport with clients so that they feel that CS can come up with better solutions for their projects.
  • An effective communicator, work well within a team and be diligent in pursuing projects and converting them.
