We are a contemporary style 4.5 star comfort hotel conveniently located in the very heart of Melbourne on fashionable Collins Street close to the Town Hall, Federation Square and retail and theatre districts.

Featuring 380 guest rooms and suites, bar and restaurant, swimming pool and gym with 8 flexible conference & function venues feature state-of-the-art, conference technology.

The ballroom accommodates events of up to 400 delegates in a theatre-style setup or 230 guests for banquets.

Job Description:

Complete daily rounds and note any repairs of equipment that may be faulty.
Carry out maintenance on mechanical equipment across the hotel site.
Partaking in preventative hotel maintenance programme
Carry out repair and maintenance on hotel rooms and equipment as required daily.
General Building painting and repairs
Liaise with contractors and reception to ensure all tasks are completed and out of order areas are bought back into service as quickly as possible.
Ensure Work Place Health and Safety procedures and policies are maintained at all times.
Perform any additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Must be responsible, selfmotivated and proactive bringing a positive attitude to the hotel team at all times.
Have the ability to think on your feet
Trade qualification preferred, but not essential
Basis knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
Confident in communicating with various other parties.
Basic computer skills is desirable
