The Opportunity


An exciting opportunity has become available for a Research Fellow in Social Innovation to join Action Lab in the Department of Human-Centred Computing within the Faculty of Information Technology.


Reporting directly to Director of Action Lab, you will conduct world-class research in ICT for Development through the conduct and supervision of research, and dissemination and engagement activities.


To be successful in this position, you must have a doctoral qualification in human-computer interaction, or a closely related discipline/equivalent accreditation and standing.

You will be an expert in both qualitative methods and participatory media, have excellent spoken and writing skills in Bangla, and have experience planning and conducting fieldwork with communities and NGOs in Bangladesh.


You will possess a high level of interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work positively and cooperatively with students, internal and external teams and external organisations with teaching experience in a tertiary environment.

You will also have a track record of publication at internationally leading venues and research collaboration with academic and practitioner stakeholders.
