  • Jul 03, 2023Tradewind is currently working with a Catholic Secondary College in Melton, looking for a Y7-10 Religious Studies teacher (along with another method of choice), for a full-time position with ongoing opportunities into 2024.


The successful applicants will possess the relevant qualifications for the position and be currently registered or in the process of obtaining registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

The School:

  • The Catholic College in Melton, is a coeducational College in Melton West catering for 1200 students in Year 712 from Melton and Bacchus Marsh. It provides education for families from the Primary schools of St Bernard's, Bacchus Marsh, St Dominic's and St Catherine's, Melton, and St Anthony's and St Laurence of Brindessi, Melton South. _
  • The College will open a second campus in Cobblebank, Melton South, in 2023 starting with approximately 150 Year 7 students and growing to accommodate 1500 Year 7 to 12 students by 2028._

  • Work as a cooperative member of the collaborative yearlevel team, ensuring harmonious relationships

Key Qualities:

  • Experience in Secondary teaching advantageous
  • Plan, prepare, and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to engage in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Australian Curriculum as relevant to the position.
  • A passion for engaging every student and demonstrated ability to bring out the best in them.
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching at relevant levels.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • Full Australian working rights
