An exciting opportunity exists to join our iconic newspaper brand, The West Australian, as an Analyst within the Customer Engagement team.

If you have a curious mindset, enjoy using data to find recommended solutions to business questions, and feel at home analysing trends in large datasets to optimise results - then this is the role for you Play an important part in supporting our sales and marketing activity and see your insights swiftly put into practice in our dynamic and fast-paced environment.

You must be able to couple your technical skills with a collaborative and consultative approach to deliver optimal results.

About the Role

Perform weekly sales analysis
Examine data trends and oversee supply optimisation
Forecast impact of promotions and events
Analyse and report using Excel, PowerBI and other tools
Collaborate with team members to use data to support meaningful recommendations

About You

You've earned your data stripes working for 12 years in an analytics role within a commercial or consulting environment (essential)
Advanced Excel skills and experience with PowerBI (essential)
Solid experience manipulating large data sets to make recommendations
Ability to think creatively in order to solve problems and produce business insights through reporting
Strong time management, able to work autonomously with team direction
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders
SQL skills (advantageous but not essential we're happy to teach you)
