This opportunity


The Spring Project Control Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting and driving the successful delivery of transformation initiatives across the organisation.

The primary responsibility will be to provide project management support, establish project control processes, and ensure the effective monitoring and reporting of project progress across all business units - whilst reporting to the central Spring team.


Responsibilities

Project Management Support:


  • Collaborate with business unit leadership and initiative owners to identify and plan new initiatives.
  • Partner with initiative owners to support development of robust initiative plans from ideate to close.
  • Provide coaching on project management including project plans, milestone creative, cross functional engagement and initiative tracking.
  • Assist in the maintenance of project plans including change and risk mitigations and strategies.
  • Support in the creation and tracking of initiative financial impacts and adherence to organisational CAPEX management.
  • Assist initiative owners prepare their initiative plans for organisational prioritisation and sequencing activities.
  • Oversee quality of business unit planning ensuring there is alignment to strategic drivers and transformation goals.
  • Provide insight back to Spring Office on how the Spring Office can best support each workstream achieve their goals.

Project Control Processes:


  • Monitor and track projects against established milestones and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify risks and deviations to the plan.
  • Drive escalation of risks and issues to resolve within the workstream. Escalate to Spring Office if required.

Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Utilise the Wave tool to extract insights on project performance including key metrics and milestones, identify discrepancies in data and address with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reporting back to the Spring office on each business' progress against the plan, highlighting risks, issues and recommended actions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and manintain strong relationships with initiative owners, business unit leaders and project sponsors to develop a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the workstream they support.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders to foster relationships of trust, ensuring alignment across Spring initiatives.
  • Participate in regular routine (e.g., "Springboard" meetings) to ensure common alignment on priorities, transparency on progress, continually surfacing where support is required.
  • Engage in difficult conversations while continually building stronger and supportive relationships, to bring delayed initiatives back on track.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams promoting a culture of transparency and shared accountability.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices in project management and project control.
  • Collaborate with Spring Office team members to develop and implement lessons learnt and support change management to implement new ways of working.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging practices in project management.

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, project management, or telecommunications.
  • Proven experience in project management roles, preferably in the telecommunications or technology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on datadriven decisionmaking.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take ownership of project deliverables.
