About the Role

This role is 5 month contract with possible ongoing opportunity exists for an experienced Trades Assistant at Rio Tinto ' s 7 mile mine site.

Duties

This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to safety to be part of a collaborative team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be;
Supporting Machine shop team in wheel set manufacturing

Trained in operating the bearings on and off stations, operation of Portals, REMAN area fundamentals, Component (BEARINGS AND CONSUMABLES) delivery and collection, loading wheelsets, SAP paperwork completion.

General hand / TA work supporting maintenance crews or if Trade based executing maintenance works

Shutdown works when planned maintenance is being executed

Misc tasks associated with cleaning / Housekeeping

Assisting Tradesman in daily tasks

Required to perform manual tasks in hot weather extremes

Requirements:

Forklift (LF) High Risk Licence (mandatory y)

Dogman (DG) High Risk License (preferred)

HR Drivers License (preferred)

Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)

Ability to complete a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol screening
