The Opportunity


Are you an accomplished and driven Logistics Cost and Analytics Specialist looking for your next challenge? Samsung is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team.

As the Logistics Cost and Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimising logistics costing and analysis across all our operations.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and cost efficiencies within our supply chain.

Role and Responsibilities


Logistics Cost Management/Key Reporting:

  • Monitor and review claims with claim officer to ensure all logistic claims been submitted and closed within the agree time frame
  • Prepare and distribute performance reports to Finance, Logistics managers, and Product managers
  • Provide timely and accurate cost management and freight reports with variance analysis.
  • Analyse process constraints, identify costsaving projects, and trace costs to underlying activities
  • Collaborate with 3PLs to ensure SOPs, KPIs, and cost guidelines are followed on a monthly basis
  • Prepare logistics cost and ratio forecasts, reviewing them monthly with Finance.
  • Undertake adhoc projects, analyse outcomes, and advise Logistics Manager on improvements
  • Coordinate regular and adhoc reporting on performance against the corporate plan
  • Identify and optimize logistics costs while delivering exceptional service
  • Create and manage a reporting suite analysing performance trends
  • Analyse and interpret logístical data for continuous improvement
  • Track cost of poor quality at the product division level

3PL Claims Management Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review claims with office to ensure all logistics claims been submitted and closed within the agreed time frame
  • Create RFQ Tariff request documents with rate templet and the scope of work
  • Create RFQ tariff request documents and review tariffs from vendors to ensure there match within cost guideline
  • Conduct logistics cost simulations and prepare cost comparison reports
  • Review cost impact between product divisions and analyse cost increases within operations units
  • Review billing and payment processes for maximum recovery from vendors
  • Review new logistics KPIs/KPI incentives with operation managers

IOD Management and Revenue Forecast Responsibilities:

  • Provide stock in transit reports and ensure accurate delivery status updates
  • Conduct revenue forecasts to meet planned targets
  • Analyse 3PL responses and provide revenue management forecast reports

GMP System Management Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Logistic Transfer /Cut off/Holiday master and NERP
  • Monitor EDI for error resolution
  • Manage tariff system in NERP for accurate contract pricing structure
  • Provide system support to the logistics team and maintain database
  • Ongoing system development for further enchantment of structure
Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting & Finance or relevant degree but not mandatory
  • Minimum 34 years' experience in a similar role (Logistics/Supply Chain Analyst or Commercial Analyst)
  • Strong commercial acumen with strong logistics planning & analytics skillset
  • Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions when required
  • Building and maintaining internal and external customer relations
  • Experience with people management is preferred
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and SAP competent is preferred
