About the Opportunity


Public Trustee is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to provide a high quality of administration and customer support within our Regulatory Services branch.

You will be required to prepare and maintain letters, documents and reporting while driving improvement to processes and procedures within the branch.

You will also be required to review various statements and financial accounts while attending to phone calls in a courteous, friendly, and effective manner.

You will be responsible for examining Estate and Administration Accounts for deceased estates by administrators appointed by the Supreme Court under Grant of Letters of Administration and you will be required to liaise with administrators and solicitors accordingly to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

About the Business
The Office of the Public Trustee (Public Trustee) is a business unit of the Attorney-General's Department. The Public Trustee was established in 1881 and is constituted under the provisions of the Public Trustee Act 1995.


The Public Trustee plays an important role in managing the personal, legal and financial affairs of those people in the community who lack the capacity to manage their own affairs.

The Public Trustee also provides eligible South Australians with access to Will making services, powers of attorney preparation and deceased estate and trust administration.

The Public Trustee is located in a prime CBD location, with offices looking out over Victoria Square.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested.
