_Our client is an Australian-based non-bank lender specialising in finance for primary assets including transport, construction, materials handling and earthmoving equipment._

As a Collections Specialist, you are pivotal in providing collections support to the business to deliver greater cash flow/reduce bad debts and align to the company goals in reducing churn, risk and re-work.

Working within an assigned portfolio, you will maintain the quality of actions on accounts in line with policies and procedures, industry codes of conduct, legislation, and other relevant laws.

What you will be doing:

Conduct outbound and inbound collection calls in high volumes
Successfully identify customers experiencing financial hardship
Identify and recommend customers for alternative Collection activities, e.g. repossessions, field calls, legal action, etc.
Take endtoend accountability for accounts assigned to you
Achieve and exceed individual and team targets each month
Understand and comply with all regulatory requirements and quality standards
Strong attention to detail and integrity

What do you need?

Experience in a collections environment assisting and responding to those in debt
Experience in a customer service environment either over the phone or face to face, in a valuesbased organisation
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
The willingness to go "above and beyond" for our customers
Solutionsfocused and the ability to make decisions to resolve a customer's financial situation
The ability to work in a fastpaced environment, negotiate, handle multiple priorities and manage expectations
