Are you a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of governance principles and frameworks? We are seeking a talented Manager Governance to join our team and lead the development and implementation of effective governance structures and processes.


About the role


As the
Manger Governance**, your role is to support the Department in the design and implementation of governance structures and compliance processes including the delivery of delegation and other machinery of government activities.

You will provide strategic advice to support the achievement of the Department's strategic and operational objectives.


The role will include designing, implementing and maintain governance frameworks that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements, as well as communicating governance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and risk management.

You will be required to collaborate with senior management to establish governance objectives, evaluate performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Leading a team, you will also be responsible for training and development as well as motivating and encouraging your team members.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in governance, risk management, or compliance roles, with a focus on developing and implementing governance frameworks.

You will have a strong knowledge of governance principles, frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 37001), and regulatory requirements.


This role also requires you to have excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.

The ability to adapt to change, lead a team and drive results in a dynamic environment are key to success.


Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in corporate governance, compliance or risk management or another field relevant to the role.
