The Audit Manager manages a program of work identified through the annual Audit Plan by leading a small team of professional audit staff and /or contractors.


In this role you will:


  • Provide expert advice and support to the Director, Internal Audit, to develop and negotiate agreement for the strategic and annual internal audit plans for QCS which provides for the effective coverage of QCS operations, in accordance with current and emerging risks. Manage staff and lead the endtoend execution of audits for Queensland Corrective Services to ensure efficient and timely delivery of all audit engagements; scope activities and assign the team (including contractors) with audit tasks and provide support and post review feedback on the quality of work; ensure technical correctness and presentation standard of deliverables; liaise with key stakeholders on the audit engagement; and provide regular status reports to the Director, Internal Audit. Manage and actively participate in the conduct complex financial, operational, information system audits and system development reviews to determine whether processes comply with legislation, organisational requirements and professional /industry standards;
