Aboriginal Child Protection Caseworker - Illawarra/Shoalhaven

We are currently recruiting for upcoming opportunities in Illawarra/Shoalhaven.
About your new role
As an Aboriginal Caseworker, you will be responding to reports about a child or young person who may have been harmed or where there are safety concerns.
You will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, the child or young person, and a range of other services, to develop safety plans and undertake risk assessments.

About you
For Aboriginal applicants a relevant diploma or degree qualification is preferred.
Applicants without a relevant qualification are required to demonstrate at least two years experience working with vulnerable children, young people and their families.
For successful applicants without a relevant qualification, a commitment to gain a relevant qualification will be required during the course of employment.
Communities and Justice trains and offers career development opportunities for all staff and the attainment of a relevant qualification will be supported.
In addition to identifying as an Aboriginal person, a valid drivers licence is required and willingness to drive. You also require a Working with Children clearance number.We value a diverse and inclusive workplace
