About the role


We are looking for a
Contractor Management Specialist to drive the governance and maturity of our contractor management capability and performance at Yandicoogina.


The overall accountability is to govern the safety, regulatory and commercial systems in place to ensure an effective contractor management system at Yandicoogina.

The role will ensure business risks are identified and mitigated, system design & performance is lifted to support RTIO and Yandicoogina achieve excellence.

Reporting to the
Manager Operational Excellence and working closely with the Site Leadership team you will;

  • Work closely with the Procurement Specialist and Central Contractor Management team to drive maturity of our contractor management systems and processes at a sitelevel for Yandicoogina, plus identifying opportunities to improve sourcing or contracting arrangements.
  • Coach and upskill our Contractor Management Representatives through infield leadership and provide frontline assurance on the effectiveness our interactions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in our contractor safety maturity and contractor integration in line with the Safety Maturity Model framework.
  • Monitor the operational performance of our key contracting partners and support effective partnerships through regular supplier performance reviews, walk the contracts, Operational Partnership Meetings, and Vendor Safety Resets
  • Collaborate with the contractor management peer network to share best practice in Contractor Management and ensure consistency.
  • Demonstrate excellence in teamwork, partnership, communication, and stakeholder management to achieve the role outcomes.

Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters.

As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.
