JOB SUMMARY
Plant Engineer assumes responsibility
First responsibility is for the maintenance, monitoring, repairs & improvements of plant & equipment. The recording of works carried out and the ongoing development of an effective maintenance plan.
Second responsibility is assisting with &/or, taking full responsibility for, special projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quickly & efficiently respond to breakdowns
- Understand and utilise the plant Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX)
- Correct & efficient plant & equipment setup
- Contribute to improving plant & equipment efficiency & reliability
- Maintain spare parts register & stock levels
- Maintenance & project tasks as directed by Plant Engineer
OTHER FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in NPD factory trials & development
- Ensure all work practices follow legal & company OH&S & Food Safety policies
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Contribute to a positive & productive work environment
- Other duties as directed by the Plant Engineer, Operations Manager or Managing Director
INHERENT REQUIREMENTS
- Safely & competently use all maintenance tools & equipment
- Reasonable physical condition including ability to lift 15kgs; kneel, bend & squat; stand for long periods; walk around worksite; climb stairs & ladders; work in confined spaces
- Work independently
- Take direction & feedback
- Commitment to company professional & ethical standards & a diverse, inclusive workplace
- Highly developed analytical & problemsolving skills
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Work constructively as part of a team
AUTHORITY
- In the absence of the Plant Engineer, liaise with & manage contractors
- Through office, order spare parts up to the value of $250
- Further authorities will be developed over time
KPI's: - Contribute to a positive & productive work environment
- Perform both planned & breakdown tasks in a timely & competent manner
- Meet Company & legislated FSQP, OH&S & QA standards
- Communicate & document all maintenance tasks
- Work well as part of the Exquisine team helping promote a healthy culture
HOURS OF DUTY A four-day work week with normal working hours of 6:00am to 4:00pm & a rotating RDO.
