The Salvation Army Australia's Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support all cohorts in case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

Services are free, voluntary, accredited and delivered by professional and committed staff.

About the role


We are seeking a values driven Regional Operations Coordinator who will be part of a collaborative Leadership team that provides support to the operations of the Melbourne Metro region, enabling program staff to provide support to people experiencing homelessness with a history of trauma, disadvantage, mental health, AOD and health issues.

You will successfully

  • Oversee Regional Maintenance Register and develop Planned Maintenance Schedules for four 24/7 sites including 3 residential sites annually
  • Oversee Regional Risk Management Register
  • A workplace culture of cooperation, encouragement, collaboration, mutual respect and accountability.
  • Risk management strategies are implemented and monitored.
  • Accurate, up to date client records and data is maintained for all Catering Service clients in accordance with TSA standards and procedures using TSA information systems to meet funding and service agreements.
  • Monthly Reporting.
  • Promote a culture where all program staff, foster and focus on opportunities for innovative and flexible responses to customer need.
  • Service gaps are identified and recommendations for service delivery improvements are made to the Regional Manager.
You will have

  • Relevant Business qualification such as Degree in Business Administration
  • Experience in project management and change management
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Work Health and Safety standards and legislation
  • Knowledge of relevant standard and accreditation processes (desirable)
  • Advance computer skills including experience in data and record management
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Conflict management and resolution skills
