The position: Portfolio Manager/ Transition Services Manager_

Summary:

Integral daily management of the 5 Lightsource bp large-scale solar plants in Australia, ensuring best practice for safety, quality and environmental performance, whilst enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and complying with all of the applicable contractual and regulatory agreements.

Oversee and drive the delivery of the Transition Services Agreement (TSA) with the prospective owner of these 5 projects.


General management requirements

  • Contribute to develop policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative and contract requirements are fulfilled.
  • Manage a Portfolio of 5 sites with a capacity of ~1,000 MW all located in Australia. Maximize total return for each asset through the analysis of system efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance.
  • In coordination with the O&M Manager, establish a collaborative relationship with the EPC & O&M contractor with the aim of maximising the safe asset performance and operation.
  • In coordination with other key functions in the Aus team, manage the delivery of a safe and efficient transition of services from LSbp to the prospective owner of the 5 sites.

Daily Asset Management operation

  • Manage and oversee day to day operations of the Asset Management organization in Aus providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
  • Review and manage all SPVs contracts for SPVs obligations and other contract party respectively, including insurance.

Performance and monitoring

  • Performance review of the sites as well as analysis of potential optimisation projects/actions
  • Regular review of site performance on monitoring platform
  • Monitor and control all financial budgets
  • Monthly review of operational and financial KPIs, identification of improvement opportunities
  • Support Financial manager with analysis of P&L variance and CF Forecast and Solar plants Budget
  • Preparation of stakeholders reporting
  • Responsible for managing the portfolio from commercial, financial and technical perspective; dealing with and managing internal and external stakeholders including external clients, and critically, the prospective new owner of the portfolio.

Contract management

  • Oversee main contractors (including EPC and O&M) to ensure compliance with relevant obligations, in coordination with the O&M Manager.
  • Manage contractual process, such as PAC-IACFAC, with the EPC Contractor in coordination with the Engineering department and the O&M Manager.
  • Support the O&M Manager when required to monitor and influence all maintenance and operations activities for the assets.
  • Maintain and grow good relations with all contract parties. Manage and coordinate potential contract modifications.
  • Day to day management of the PPA, including the submission of settlements and reporting to the offtakers.
  • Facilitate handoff from project management to operational management.
  • Solar Companies project documentation management.
  • Develop compliance calendar, manage and monitor compliance in all contracts and activities.
  • Manage the effective transition of the portfolio to the new owner as defined in the Transition Services Agreement. This requires working across functions such as CM, AM, FM, Insurance, Legal and SF, as well as acting as the transitional point of contact for the purchaser. Report, update and drive progress of the transitional arrangements in line with the purchaser's expectations.
