About the Role:


We currently have an exciting career opportunity to join our Operating Performance Team, reporting directly into our Head of Network Control and Operations, based in either our CBD Head Office or Regional Depots in a full time and permanent capacity.


In addition, the role will provide performance reporting, governance, stakeholder engagement, mentoring programs, developing & implementing improvement strategies and formal training to achieve overall best results.


What you'll deliver:


  • Through consultation, develop an improvement strategy for delivering high safety and reliability network operating practices, and in turn improve Operating Incident Frequency Rate performance
  • Develop business cases and plans for the implementation of the strategies
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of objectives, strategies, and plans
  • Ensure effective governance of network operating performance through engagement with executive and senior stakeholders
  • Responsible for field operator switching performance, within Network Control and Operations
  • Support, foster and direct a network of field operating mentors to drive best practice in field network operations
  • Create communications to drive awareness of network operating hazards, and controls
  • Engage with stakeholders across Field Delivery; Health, Safety & Environment; Learning & Development; Network Asset Management to support continuous improvement and governance of operational performance.

To succeed in this role you'll have:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety, Business/Change Management or other relevant discipline
  • Certificate III Electrical Trade, Certificate of Technology (Electrical), or Certificate IV Electrical, Associate Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering / or equivalent Tertiary based qualification
  • Completion of people leadership training or qualification
  • Experience leading an operational team where behavioural change is required
  • Understanding and resolving safety, technical and operational challenges
  • Experience using Human Factors and operating behaviour / performance dynamics highly desired.
