The Role


Excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Officer to join our fast paced and supportive HR Team to assist on a broad range of HR initiatives.

You will perform a wide range of HR operational processes and tasks, handle sensitive information while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

The role is based in Melbourne and there will be travel requirements approximately once a month to the La Trobe Valley to support our Hazelwood Rehabilitation Project teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to employee lifecycle events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and letters of variation
  • Maintain and update human resources documents and reporting
  • Provide support to the Learning and Development function
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of HR projects such as employee engagement strategies, diversity and inclusion initiatives and events and employee assistance program ambassador program.

About You


The successful incumbent will have knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within human resources, most likely gained from human resources generalist roles.

You will be open to differences in perspective and people from a variety of backgrounds and have a preference for organisation, procedure and exactitude.

You are able to work without supervision and can prioritise work and be able to collect data and provide relevant analysis.

You will need to have a vehicle to travel to the La Trobe Valley.
