We are seeking an Inventory Officer who will play a critical role in managing and controlling inventory within a defense-based company.

This position involves overseeing the procurement, storage, distribution, and tracking of defense equipment, components, and supplies.

The Inventory Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, minimizing stock discrepancies, and optimizing inventory turnover to support efficient defense operations.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic and security-conscious environment.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor inventory levels of my clients high tech equipment.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate acquisition of defense inventory items from approved suppliers, adhering to government regulations and compliance standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming defense equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and verify accuracy against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Perform regular physical inventory counts to reconcile actual stock levels with recorded quantities in the inventory management system.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or discrepancies in inventory records through meticulous analysis and implementation of appropriate corrective measures.
  • Develop and implement robust inventory control procedures specific to defense equipment, including routine equipment maintenance, serviceability checks, and compliance with storage and security protocols.
  • Coordinate with various departments, such as logistics and operations, to facilitate the efficient deployment, storage, and retrieval of defense equipment for training exercises, missions, or military operations.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate inventory records, including comprehensive item descriptions, quantities, locations, and valuation of defense equipment.
  • Generate routine reports on inventory levels, stock movements, equipment utilization, and other key performance indicators to facilitate informed decisionmaking by management.
  • Identify obsolete or outdated defense equipment and propose appropriate strategies for disposition or replacement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, government guidelines, and internal policies regarding the handling, storage, and disposal of defense equipment, with a strong focus on security protocols and confidentiality.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in defense operations to enhance inventory management processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in inventory management or supply chain roles within the defense industry or a government agency is a bonus. Would still take on a Graduate who is hungry to learn.
  • Thorough knowledge of defenserelated technology, including weapons systems, communication devices, and protective gear.
  • Knowledge in using specialized inventory management software and systems relevant to defense operations is a nice to have.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams, government agencies, and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and prioritize tasks effectively in a highpressure environment.
  • Problemsolving mindset and the capability to identify and resolve inventoryrelated issues promptly.
