Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Manager Portfolio Planning & Controls to join their team.
Lead the development and implementation of an integrated and consistent framework for infrastructure portfolio planning and controls to ensure alignment with the School Assets Strategic Plan (SASP) and to identify and develop best practice portfolio practices.
- Provide expert advice and information to stakeholders on emerging portfolio related issues and present recommendations to support objectives in line with established portfolio plans, budgets, timeframes, policy and other priorities.
- Collaborate and consult with project directors to support resource needs, identify risks and agree on milestones, deliverables and timeframes that facilitate optimal and seamless project delivery.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with a range of internal stakeholders to build an effective project management interface and ensure alignment with funding and other resourcing requirements.
- Develop and oversee a user friendly reporting system that provides uptodate project and portfolio status, records of variation, and timely and accurate project visualisation.
- Develop and continually improve a suite of reporting metrics (including visualisation tools) to analyse and communicate SINSW portfolio status, tracking, performance and targets, including devising metrics to identify systemic issues and to generate insights on trends, risks and opportunities.
- Identify, anticipate and assess opportunities to optimise the portfolio of projects to maximise value and realise SASP objectives.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in urban planning, civil engineering, project management or a related field and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
- Ability to develop and implement an integrated and consistent framework for infrastructure portfolio planning and controls.
On offer is a 12 month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
