As the Principal Investigator you will be part of an efficient, flexible, and responsive inspector team.

You will work within the Licensing Operations and Compliance (LOC) team in the Licensing and Regulatory Interventions directorate of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ).

The LOC team undertakes compliance and engagement activities to ensure stakeholders are fulfilling obligations within the high risk work (HRW) licensing framework as well as general construction induction training (GCIT).This Investigator role will provide loyal and resolute support to the LOC Manager and conduct and supervise complex and protracted HRW licensing and GCIT investigations.

This role is also responsible for ensuring that investigations meet requisite standards of quality, timeliness and efficiency and that investigative conduct is of the highest integrity.

While not mandatory, tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. government inspection/investigations, law, justice, criminology) is highly desirable.
