    Job Description

    The Field Services Technician provides an on-site technical field services as well as on-site technical support to customers.

    The duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Installation, termination and testing of copper and fibre optic cabling.
    • Troubleshooting cabling-related faults and determining/actioning the appropriate resolution.
    • Assisting with the preparation, configuration and deployment of new and existing hardware.
    • Assisting in on-site troubleshooting to resolve network issues.
    • Ability to act as a Contractor and Service Technician Liaison.
    • Contribute your technical experience to resolve escalated faults, ensuring SLA targets are met.
    • Revision of existing Site Documentation.
    • Participate in the 24x7 on-call roster system (if required).
    • Respond to "P1" outages as an escalation point (when required)
    • Adhere to all company and workplace health and safety guidelines.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications or experience:

    • Requirement of ACMA Cabling Registration (Open Registration) with the following competencies:
      • Structured Cabling
      • Optic Fibre Terminations
      • Coaxial Cabling
    • Minimum 2 years of experience working in Field Technical role.
    • Desirable - Experience in maintaining FTTP, FTTB and fibre technologies.
    • Desirable - Experience working with WiFi and Ekahau suite to design and survey wireless networks.
    • Hold a valid drivers license and the ability to travel.
    • Work Safely at Heights (RIIWHS204E)
    • Ability to meet WHS requests as required - such as working with children checks, white card or other reasonable licenses.
    • Strong customer service ethic and communication skills
