We currently have an opportunity for Senior Data Analyst Designer

As a Manager, Data Engineer you will collaborate with and support Analytics and Insight Managers in end to end data delivery for dashboards and analytics, and support the team and the enterprise stakeholders in driving informed business decisions by delivering a cloud-based end to end data-centric and engineering solutions on our target state platforms.

Key Skills:

Strong ability to influence, lead and motivate others
Indepth understanding of data engineering practices and big data technologies.
Attention to detail, and experience in quality assurance (e.g. peerreview) and best practices for testing.
Ability to drive innovative and efficient solutions to stakeholders' big data engineering needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Critical thinking and curiosity to understand problems and determine solutions.
Ability to work with diverse data sources in different formats (structured, semistructured and unstructured) including but not limited to CSV, XML, JSON, etc.
Understanding and ability to translate/physicalise Data Models (Star Schema, Data Vault 2.0 etc)

Technical Skills:

Hands on in SQL and its Big Data variants (Hive-QL, ANSI, Redshift SQL)
Python and Spark and one or more of its API (PySpark, Spark SQL, Scala), Bash/Shell scripting
Experience with Source code control
GitHub, VSTS etc.
Knowledge and exposure to Big Data technologies Hadoop stack such as HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark etc, and cloud Big Data warehouses
RedShift, Databricks etc.
Experience with UNIX commandline tools.
Exposure to AWS technologies including EMR, Glue, Athena, Data Pipeline, Lambda, etc

What you will bring:

Extensive experience leading Data Engineering team, with a focus on Big Data and (Multi) Cloud technologies.
Experience in communicating with and influencing peers and stakeholders
Solid experience, knowledge and skills in Data Engineering, BI/software development such as ELT/ETL, data extraction and manipulation in Data Lake/Data Warehouse environment.
Proven experience in data modelling, analysis, and profiling.
Experience of working in diverse data domains.
