Venues NSW has the responsibility and privilege of managing several stadium and entertainment precincts across NSW including Sydney's original home of sport, the Sydney Cricket Ground and the brand-new Allianz Stadium located at Moore Park.


ABOUT THE ROLE
Venues NSW was formed in December 2020 and is a commercially focused arm of the NSW Government.

We collaborate closely with Destination NSW, major sporting codes and promoters to excite and entertain the people of NSW with a rich and varied calendar of major events.

This role is based at the Moore Park headquarters of Venues NSW.


Reporting to the Workplace Health and Safety Manager, the Work Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating operational advice and training support to all Venues NSW stakeholders and supporting the implementation of the Venues NSW Safety Framework, systems, policies and procedures.


ABOUT YOU


You will be a passionate and driven work health and safety professional, with a proven ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of safety trends and procedures.


  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in working/operating in a strong safety culture.
  • Proven ability and success in coordinating WHS systems.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in Health and Safety.
  • Previous event or venue experience will be highly regarded.
Applicants must be flexible to work outside of normal work hours including some evening and weekend event work.
