High Risk Eligibility Officer, Personal Injury | Melbourne, VIC

You'll be directly improving our customer's lives and well-being.
You'll deal with people experiencing challenging times, but your job is to deliver a positive customer experience for them - and this is what makes it highly rewarding.
As an Eligibility Officer in the Personal Injury team, you will assess the liability of new claims and make decisions to accept or deny entitlements.
You will work with and support a team of experienced consultants and have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills.
You'll be responsible for:
- Making liability decisions within the quality decision making framework
- Assessing the need for referrals and investigative tools to expedite information gathering
- Demonstrating strong customer service and time management skills
- Ensuring a positive service experience for our stakeholders and providing effective strategies for liability outcomes
- Accurate assessment, determination and calculation of entitlements
Important to your success:
- 2 years or more experience in workers compensation claims management (Case Manager), or an experience Paralegal
- Strong working knowledge of Workplace Injury Rehabilitation & Compensation Act 2013 and associated Regulations, and/or a Legal Qualification
- Highly accurate Data entry, time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of MS Word/Excel and the ability to learn new software systems
- Experience of working in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing business needs
- Ability to work in a team environment
