This privately-owned company has established themselves as one of the most innovative and enduring providers of quality products to its niche market.

For over 70 years, from its Gold Coast manufacturing facility, it has distributed products to its specialist markets across QLD and NSW.

In recent years having adopted lean manufacturing principles, the productivity gains and profit improvement achieved from their adoption is remarkable.

This newly created role is accountable for the development and implementation of the strategy to grow an exciting new product developed specifically as alternative offering to the existing successful product range.

Your strategy will cover manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution of this product Nationally and incorporate how it is sourced and supplied.

The success of the product will be measured by delivering of performance targets and compliance with the current high level business practices.


Exciting areas of focus include.

  • Developing a succinct strategy, with the General Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager, to meet anticipated strong demand for this new product and also sets out the delivery model.
  • Creating a system that maintains production, demand, storage, distribution and supply data, reporting & information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Establishing relationships with current and potential customers, suppliers and thirdparty contractors to meet their needs.
  • Using your inquisitive nature and strong communication and relationship building skills to handle current sales enquiries and identify future growth opportunities.
  • Negotiating to achieve the best available contract to ensure supply to market, allowing for specific product requests and current workload and location of the products.
  • Ensuring all ancillary and associated costs (e.g. production, warehousing, transport) are accounted for in the forecasts to avoid unexpected negative impact on margins.
  • Owning the product strategy, understanding the prospects of success and reporting regularly on them to deliver operational outcomes in line with the strategic plan.
  • Building strong internal relationships with the ELT and broader business teams to be aware of impending issues and responding quickly to them
  • Gather and share market intelligence to inform sales plans and strategic direction

What you must possess to succeed


A track record of success in taking a new product to market with proven management capability in the financial and commercial aspects of delivery to market.

An understanding of manufacturing, supply and logistics, and storage and how to schedule an efficient production process to meet customer expectations and deliver a quality product on time.

A natural problem-solving mindset and enjoyment of developing a go to market strategy along with proven skill in implementing processes to maximise operational efficiency and productivity.

Significant experience in a strategy or market development role ideally in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
