Your New Career

Our growing Assets and Engineering team play a vital part in supporting our community through managing Council's large asset portfolio of roads, buildings, drainage and open space assets and currently have an opportunity for a highly valued integral position of Support Officer to join their team.


About you

As the Assets and Engineering Support Officer you will provide key administrative support to the team and ensure a broad range of project and administrative tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner to both our community members and the team.

You will be a driven, committed individual who can:


  • Ensure Customer Service Requests that are received at Council are processed accurately into Council's Customer Request Management System within specified timeframes, and advice is provided back to the Customer.
  • Provide key administrative support to the all members of the Assets & Engineering team, ensuring a broad range of project and administrative tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Provide efficient and courteous customer service to members of the community, organisations/contractors and other Council departments.


You will be working 20 hours per week over 3 to 5 days with the opportunity to do additional hours when required by agreement.


Mandatory Requirements (Skills & Experience)

  • Certificate in Office Administration or similar and experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience in the performance of high quality general public customer service
  • Proficient in the use and operation the Microsoft Office suites and all office equipment
