What's the job?


We are looking for authentic recruiter who loves what they do, to join our highly regarded recruitment team at Torrens University Australia.

Reporting to Maur Bell, Talent Acquisition Manager you will be responsible for leading recruitment processes in partnership with hiring managers.

In this role you will be providing exceptional customer service and advice that will lead to quality recruits, being appointed to vacancies (recruiting for both academic & non academic roles) across Torrens Global Education Services (TGES) - Torrens University Australia, Think Education, & Media Design School in New Zealand.

There is a particular focus on roles within the realm of information technology, design and creative technologies.


Day-to-day accountabilities:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and recruitment advice to hiring managers and staff
  • Working with hiring managers on behavioural and competencybased interviews based on skills required for the role and cultural fit needed
  • HR project based work such as showcasing our benefits, improved assessment tools, introducing our behaviours and values into the recruitment process
This is a permanent position based in Sydney or Adelaide to start April 2024.

Who are you?


A keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and outstanding time management abilities are essential, enabling successful navigation in fast-paced environments and adeptness at multitasking.


The role demands strong computer literacy, particularly proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), to enhance recruitment strategies and execution.


A fundamental understanding of federal and state employment regulations, including Modern Awards and legislation, is required to ensure compliance in all recruitment practices.


This position is ideal for a versatile and competent recruitment professional, eager to face challenges and contribute significantly to our organization's success.
