Job Summary


The IT Operations Manager play's a critical role in the company's success by ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and systems.

With offices located across Australia and remote staff across Asia, you will lead a team of IT professionals to ensure all IT policies are implemented and maintained.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of IT professionals in managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure and systems across all locations.
  • Continually analyze IT operations metrics to ensure compliance with targets and to seek improvements in productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain our security and DRP policies
  • Optimize the utilization of IT resources to provide technical support through effective planning and managing service standards and procedures.
  • Ensure all company shared resources are tracked and available.
  • Timely and proactive escalation of incidents, service requests, complaints, and requests for changes to the appropriate areas.
  • Troubleshoot server/network problems and escalations.
  • Maintain and support server hardware and software.
  • Update and document changes to our networks.
  • Follow company processes, industry best practices, and internal procedures.
  • Ensure that internal projects that relate to or require the IT team are successful.
  • Ensure MicroChannel security is always reviewed and considered in all changes.
  • Work with the CIO on budgets for the IT department.
  • Ensure all asset databases are kept up to date.
  • Review company acquisitions to ensure IT policies and consolidation of future systems.
  • Manage and dispatch personnel and activities, and make hiring, discharge, reward, and discipline decisions for those roles as required.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly performance appraisals of team personnel.
  • Conduct training sessions with staff about IT systems and policies.

Experience, Education, Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT management or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of server hardware (products and troubleshooting).
  • Experience with Microsoft server support and administration.
  • Competent with DNS, Internet, Routing and network troubleshooting.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Excellent process and procedure development skills.
  • Project management skills including prioritising and time management.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Education Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Information Technology or similar will be well regarded.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional or other relevant IT certification is preferred.
