The Office of the Chief People & Culture Officer has an opportunity for an Indigenous Employment Pathways Coordinator to join their team and collaborate with various units in the division and across the university to develop and deliver employment and career initiatives in line with UOW's Aboriginal Employment Enabler Strategy.


Reporting to the Aboriginal Employment Strategy Advisor, your understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural issues in the workplace will be invaluable in the provision of mentoring trainees, cadets, apprentices and interns and will play a crucial role in the establishment of network support initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.


The Employment Pathways Coordinator will have experience in preparing written documentation for target audiences, an understanding of project management principles and strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant is required to provide confirmation of their Australian Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander heritage. UOW will conduct an authentication process of submitted confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander documentation.
