Hybrid, Wonnarua Country (Maitland Region)
About the Role:
- Act as an EC Educator with a multidisciplinary team of Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Support Workers, Occupational Therapists and Counsellors.
- Work under an Experienced teacher who will formulate educational programs and plans for you to follow
- Manage your own caseload
- Delivery of therapy and educational support across a range of 1:1 and group programs to children and families
- Receive ongoing professional training
- Receive ongoing learning from other Allied Health disciplines
- Weekly meetings
- Energy and passion for life and for working with children
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Creative thinking with the ability to adapt to different children's learning styles
- An ability to work well both within a team and independently
- A high degree of motivation and commitment to continuing professional development and evidencebased practice
- High level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to build strong rapport with children and their families
- Experience in deescalation techniques and complex behaviours in children
- Excellent attention to detail
About You:
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Hold a Certificate III or above in Early Childhood Education
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Use personcentred approaches
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Workers Check (or willing to obtain)
- Uptodate Vaccinations (inc. COVID)
